Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo to marry in April

Nick Lachey has been divorced for less than a year, but he may be married again before you know it. The National Enquirer is reporting that Lachey has proposed to his girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo and the couple want to tie the knot sooner rather than later.

An insider told the Enquirer, "Nick's known for a long time that Vanessa is the one. At first she held out. But in time she began to realize Nick was the key to her happiness and couldn't imagine like without him. Vanessa feels she's got Nick just where she wants him. Jessica is finally out of the picture for good. And now the two of them are ready to begin making a new life together."

Minillo is said to have asked her friends to leave April open because that is when she and Nick are going to wed. Said the source, "They're moving forward with plans for an April wedding. Since they both love Baja in Mexico it will probably happen south of the border, where they first fell in love."

Nick's second wedding will be a lot different from the first one. The snitch says, "When he married Jessica, Nick had a big splashy Texas wedding with all the trimmings. It kicked off…'Newlyweds' and began their life in a fishbowl. This time he wants something a lot simpler, so they decided on a low-key affair."
