"It's a wonder Patrick is still alive," a pal told The ENQUIRER. "In January he was given only weeks to live. But he's fighting for all he's worth and won't give in to the pancreatic cancer."

Swayze is now shooting the TV show in Chicago but those close to him fear the ailing star is digging his own grave as he's resumed smoking!

"Patrick is an inspiration, but we're terrified he's killing himself," a production insider told The ENQUIRER.

According to the pal, producers are terrified Patrick's condition will worsen while filming.
