I’m so fired up about the Oscars on Sunday, yet I feel disappointed by this year’s lineup. It’s like the films getting all the attention are beyond dull, and I’m honestly annoyed at how predictable the hype can get. I still can’t wrap my head around “The Brutalist,” a film about concrete buildings. Why on earth is that getting so much love? It’s baffling. I mean, who really sits down to watch something that dry? To be fair, I’ll still be glued to my screen. I love complaining about it almost as much as I love watching. But if “The Brutalist” wins, I might just throw my popcorn in the air.
