All right, folks, I’m at my wits’ end with this nonsense. Labour has just confirmed a 2.8% pay rise for MPs next financial year, which means they’ll be earning roughly £93,904 from April. And with MPs’ wages being tax-free and every imaginable expense covered, that figure easily balloons to well over £180,000 a year when you factor in perks. Meanwhile, they’ve already annihilated the winter fuel allowance for pensioners, made brutal cuts to disability benefits (including PIP), and hiked taxes to record levels. On top of that, the pension age is shooting up to 67 next year and 68 not long after! Let’s not even start on the inheritance tax fiasco that’s wrecking farmers.
Yet despite all the taxes we pay, the economy’s tanking, and billions upon billions of tax payers money is being thrown at migrants who have come to this country illegally while our own citizens struggle more and more. It’s beyond outrageous...
The moment they got into power, Labour started rolling out excuses for why cuts and tax rises are “necessary” (even though none of this stuff was in their election promises). The party that claimed it would protect the most vulnerable? Turns out they’re no better than the Tories they replaced—just another dose of the same nonsense.
None of this was in Labour’s damn manifesto. Nobody voted for Tory Part 2.0. It’s absolutely infuriating to see them stuffing their own pockets while leaving pensioners, disabled folks, and farmers out to dry. And now they have the nerve to push ‘assisted dying’ legislation, which seems to target the very people they should be protecting. I’m all for preserving life and ensuring people get the help they need—why should our government be looking for ways to end it sooner?
It’s time for change. Neither Labour nor the Tories give a damn about us. We need to kick both parties out for good in the next election and find politicians who actually care about people instead of twisting agendas to suit themselves. I’m sick of these liars running the show and voting themselves pay raises while the rest of us deal with soaring costs and disappearing benefits. Enough is enough. Let's figure out a real solution, and let's do it now.
What do you all think?
