Red Dead Redemption 2 “Has Exited Unexpectedly” FIX

Today Red Dead Redemption 2 was released for PC, however a number of player are having major problems getting the game to launch. When they click play instead of the game launching they receive an error message that the game “Has Exited Unexpectedly” and are unable to play the game. Some people have had luck disabling their anti virus/ or including the folder where Red Dead Redemption 2 is installed in their exclusion list in their anti virus software.. however this fix doesn’t seem to work for everyone.

If disabling your anti virus does not work updating your nvidia graphic card driver may work instead. Only yesterday Nvidia released a driver update for Red Dead Redemption 2. By going to your device manager > Clicking display adapters and the appropriate nvidia graphics card and then clicking update driver. Should fix this issue.
