Meyer's representative, Meredith O'Sullivan, said: "After a non-stop
succession of filming, Jonathan Rhys Meyers has entered an alcohol-treatment
programme.
"He felt a break was needed to maintain his recovery."

The 29-year-old is currently starring as British monarch King Henry VIII in
Showtime's TV costume drama 'The Tudors'.
He recently began filming 'August Rush' which co-stars Keri Russell,
Terrence Howard and Robin Williams.
His representative added: "Jonathan plans to resume his schedule following
completion."
