It's amazing what hot Italian designers will do for a girl, isn't it? Some clean up surprisingly well, while those nice girls seem to get all turned out. That spicy marinara gets 'em every time.

Today's Fashion Good News, Bad News is brought to you by the good folks at Dolce & Gabbana. Well, not really, but this week's victims were both shot while attending D&G's Fabulous show at Cannes.

The good news, amazingly, is one Peaches Geldof, who normally looks like the business end of a meat grinder, but here looks like a lovely young debutante (if you ignore all the tattoos). The hair, the dress, even the shoes, are elegant, timeless, and tasteful. I don't think she's ever looked so good.

Our bad news, equally amazingly, is former supermodel Eva Herzigova, who appears to have put on multiple foundation garments over her mother's mules. Her hair looks like the cleaning lady styled it, and her rib cage looks like a corrugated tin roof. Why she would wear something that looks like sleepwear to a fashion show is beyond me, but she's hardly the first. Still, she should've known better. Maybe she thought if she went looking like hell they'd feel sorry for her and load her up with freebies. She could use a good meal, too.
