"The camp has five different themes. Each week will be a different theme.
And one week is a weight loss/fitness camp. It is a wellness camp focused on
eating right, yoga, nutrition and exercise."
Hilton, 26, and Richie, 25, will be expected to eat, sleep and keep the same schedule as the campers. They will be working under the direction of various experts, the network said.
"The fact that Paris and Nicole are friends again and will have to survive without their luxuries at a family run camp in the middle of nowhere takes us back full circle to the original concept that makes this show so much fun," Lisa Berger, who oversees original programming and series development, said in a statement.
"Paris and Nicole will be advising and training girls and their moms for beauty pageants, or providing therapy for couples seeking to strengthen their relationships," she said.
Nicole, has already raised questions as to her suitability as a role
model to young people.
The reformed heroin addict has sought nutritional advice after experiencing
dramatic weight loss and two weeks ago was hospitalized during a show after
collapsing from dehydration.
Nicole is said to have been diagnosed with hypoglycemia.
A representative for the star said: "In her ongoing effort to focus on her
well-being, Nicole has recently discovered she has hypoglycemia.
"She is taking steps to manage it. Nicole has reported to work each day and
the results have been fantastic."
A 'Simple Life' source said: "Four or five times she's felt really faint and
almost passed out. She has to go into her trailer for a good part of the
day."
"The Simple Life Goes to Camp," is set to debut in May,, E! Entertainment Television Inc. announced Wednesday.
