Halle Berry models for Versace
Two of the fashion industry’s most famous designers, Marc Jacobs and Donatella Versace, have announced their latest models. Meg White of the White Stripes is the new face of Jacobs’s eponymous line, while Halle Berry will star in the next ad campaign for Versace.

Berry’s ads, which have recently debuted online, were shot while she worked on the upcoming spring blockbuster, . “Halle only had one day off in which to complete it. She worked tirelessly for 20 hours straight without batting an eyelid, Versace says, according to the blog, Made in Brazil. The ads are for Donatella’s Spring/Summer Palm Beach line.

Meanwhile, White helps to cement Jacobs as the leading designer for edgy rocker-types. Her ad campaign is shot by Jacobs’s regular photographer, Juergen Teller. Teller has previously photographed Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus, Sonic Youth, Winona Ryder and legendary photographer Cindy Sherman for Jacobs. Unlike the glamorous models in the glossy shots for his Louis Vuitton line, such as Uma Thurman, Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lopez, Jacobs tends to pick quirkier gals for his own line. With her own ecclectic style, White is sure to fit in.
