After more than an hour's wait, Jackson and his attorney stood and faced the first group of prospective jurors filing into the courtroom in his child-molestation trial today.
Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville summoned 300 people today as jury selection begins for Michael Jackson's child molestation case.
Another 300 are set to appear Tuesday, and a final 150 on Wednesday. From that pool the judge hopes to find 12 jurors and 12 alternates. Jackson, 46, is charged with molesting a cancer patient then age 13, now 15 after plying him with alcohol.
Jackson on Sunday released a videotaped statement saying that leaks to the media about grand jury testimony in the case contained information that was "disgusting and false" and predicted victory at trial.
Emmy award-winning makeup artist Kylie Bell is suing Snoop Dogg aka Calvin Broadus for an alleged sexual assault that took place after a January 2003 taping of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live". Bell is seeking $25 million in damages from ABC, Walt Disney, and Kimmel's show. Bell claims that she told family members about the sexual assault the morning after the incident but was advised not to make a police report due to Broadus's supposed street gang affiliation.

"With all the news from Iraq and Afghanistan and the 'war on terror', a lot of people are really tuned into the news, and the major news sources have a western bias," Brandchannel editor Robin Rusch said.
At Apple's core is great innovation, beautiful design and an ability to bring warmth and passion to those who may be completely incurious about technical gadgetry but need it nonetheless to survive in today's world.
