It has been announced that the new nvidia graphics card the GTX 1080 is going to be released THIS MONTH plus it is said to be upto three times faster and more efficient than the current top end graphics card by nvidia the Titan X BUT what is really exciting is that this new graphics card is going to be only $600 which is a heck of a lot cheaper than the titan x that is currently $1000! This drop in price is probably down to nvidia trying to stop AMD that is also developing a new gpu graphics card from undercutting them in price! Now the question is do you buy the latest GTX 1080 or do you go and buy the titan x which will no doubt plummet in price but still be able to play all the latest games with high settings? I’m actually thinking of buying a new rig because my “new” lenovo computer which I bought from ebuyer turned out to be a total waste of money.. so I am hoping that I will be able to create a good powerful rig with the new graphics card soon but Im not putting my hope up to high though because I have seen time and time again that graphics cards come out cheap in the United States however as soon as they come over to the UK the prices for some odd reason go through the roof!!

    • I cannot actually wait to get one of these and Im so pleased it is so cheap I was actually expecting it to be around $1200 especially for this one that is meant to be the higher end model!! I bet some people are kicking themselves so hard right now if they just bought a titan x full price! ahhh that would be so painful!! I might have to wait a while though to save up as I have just bought a new pc but hopefully I will finally be able to do some decent particle effects in maya and wont have to wait weeks for them to render out… Also does anyone know how many years this new graphics card will have in it?/ I have heard some people say that graphics cards made 6 years ago are still going strong and are still better than xbox one graphics???

    • Its now been released but as usual it is waaaaaaaaay cheaper in the US than it is here in the uk which is a major shame and a half!
