LINDSAY LOHAN has opened up about her new obsession - she's a secret celebrity hoarder.
The troubled actress agreed to let TV cameras into her Hollywood home to show off the extent of her latest problems - the place is strewn with boxes of unopened shoes and freebies.
The Mean Girls star, who has fought a string of personal battles in recent years, tells U.S. TV news show The Insider she knows she has to do something about her hoarding - because it's beginning to take over her life.
She says, "I just need to get rid of stuff... It's personal stuff that I have to work on."

The Fantastic Four star is struggling to get her 19-month-old baby with husband Cash Warren to do as she's told, but she's picked up a cunning trick to combat her little girl's rebellious nature.
Alba says, "She loves saying no, (it's) her favourite word. Now she won't eat unless I tell her not to eat.

Socialite KIM KARDASHIAN has won a permanent restraining order against a man she's accused of stalking and harassing her for months.
The reality TV star took legal action against Dennis Shaun Bowman in January (10) amid concerns he believed he was romantically involved with the beauty.
In court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Kardashian recalled how the obsessed fan began contacting her on social networking site Twitter.com last September (09), before moving from Georgia to be near her Calabasas, California home.
Kardashian went on to claim that Bowman had begun showing up and acting bizarrely at her promotional appearances in the Los Angeles area and sending threatening messages about her boyfriend, American footballer Reggie Bush.
She was granted a temporary restraining order against Bowman last month (10) but the case returned to court on Wednesday (03Feb10) when a judge placed a three-year ban on the alleged stalker.
Neither Kardashian nor Bowman were present for the hearing. The protective order will remain in place until 2013, reports TMZ.com. (MT/WNWCZM/IG)

PARIS HILTON's reality TV search for a new best friend is at the centre of an $8 million (£5 million) legal dispute between show bosses and producers in Dubai over plans to air the programme in the United Arab Emirates.
Lionsgate Television executives claim producers at Uniqon Emirates, LLC signed a written agreement to co-produce and distribute MTV's Paris Hilton's My New BFF in the Middle East.
But they failed to pay up more than $4.7 million (£2.93 million) to cover the production and distribution costs and Lionsgate bosses filed a federal suit for breach of contract in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles on Tuesday (02Feb10).
Hilton filmed a special season of the show in Dubai last summer (09) but the project has yet to make it to TV, reports TMZ.com.

JENNIFER ANISTON is hosting a benefit screening of THE LAST STATION to raise funds for Haiti.
The former Friends star will introduce the movie, starring Dame Helen Mirren and James McAvoy, before holding a cocktail party with director, Michael Hoffman.
All funds raised will benefit AmeriCares, a relief charity Aniston personally donated to following last month's (Jan10) disaster.

JESSICA ALBA has been forced to tear down half of her Hollywood home after leaky water pipes wreaked damage on three of her bathrooms.
The Fantastic Four beauty has spent the last few months living in a rented house blocks away from the spacious property she shares with her husband Cash Warren and daughter Honor after originally calling in the builders to fit a new kitchen.
It was only once work on kitchen began that other rooms in the house started falling apart - and the initial estimation of six weeks of building work has now turned into six months.
She says, "We moved into a house close-by because we're renovating our kitchen. But for some ungodly reason, when you do one thing to a house, then everything else just falls apart.
"The guy (building contractor) was like six weeks, so we said, fine, six weeks without a kitchen, we'll stay somewhere else. Then he was like, three months, and we were like, OK.
"Then the ceiling in our dining room starts to sag because there's water damage from the previous owners. Now there's water damage in three of our bathrooms, our ceilings are all ripped up... Now it's six months!" (MT/WNVLEN/IG)
