"Reunion's" early death leaves viewers questioning

If you’re one of the few “Reunion� fans out there, you might as well throw in the towel. The Fox drama had an interesting premise, but failed to bring in enough viewers to allow it a permanent place in the network’s line-up. Thus, Fox has pulled the plug on the show, which will end its run in January.

Unfortunately for “Reunion� fans, that means they’ll never solve the mystery at the show’s core. The show was meant to document the lives of a group of six friends over a period of twenty years. Each episode represents another year in the characters’ lives. In year 20, one of the main characters is killed and the progress of the show slowly makes it clear who dies (Samantha) and who was the killer. Because “reunion� is ending in January, a number of crucial years will be missing. The show’s creator, Jon Harmon Feldman, is stubbornly staying true to his vision and will not be tying things up by the January finale.

Feldman said, “The show was intricately plotted over 22 episodes to tell the full story…Because the events of Samantha's murder are partially reliant on characters we haven't yet met -- and events we haven't yet seen -- there is no way to solve the mystery of her murder without being able to complete the full arc of our story through present-day. I greatly regret that this question along with many others that the series has posed will remain unsolved, and I am deeply grateful for the support of viewers who share this regret.�
