"Entourage" movie gets green light
|
Warner Bros. Pictures has given the green light to a movie version of the HBO series "Entourage." The studio is drafting deals to bring back Adrian Grenier as Vincent Chase, Kevin Connolly as "E" Murphy, Kevin Dillon as Johnny Drama, Jerry Ferrara as Turtle and Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold. The HBO series ran for 8 seasons between 2004-2011, ending with Piven's character quitting his agency job to commit fully to his marriage to Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves), before being offered his dream job as the chairman of Time Warner. According to Ellin, the film will pick up six months after the finale and focus on Ari's new career move. The movie project will be directed by the "Entourage" series creator Doug Ellin. The original cast members are expected to reprise their roles in the big screen take. Back in 2012, Jeremy Piven shared on "The Talk" that the "Entourage" team were excited about the movie project. He said "We're teed up for a movie in a way that, you know, Ari has this conundrum that he's facing, which is either to rule the world or to honor his love to his wife." |
