The latest celebrity to fall victim to the appeal of spring love is Tobey Maguire. The Spider Man star is said to have proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Meyer.

Page Six reports that Maguire popped the question to Meyer over the weekend with a “big� Tiffany engagement ring. Jennifer has been by Tobey’s side since they first started dating three years ago. Though Jen is not a big name herself, she’s certainly no stranger to the Hollywood scene. Her father is Universal president, Ron Meyer. At least Tobey knows she’s not after his money.

Leonardo DiCaprio learned the hard way that sometimes the only way to hang on to your woman is to put a ring on her finger. He recently lost his girlfriend of several years, supermodel Gisele Bundchen to surfer Kelly Slater after refusing to settle down. Not wanting to make the same mistake, Leo’s long time pal, Tobey Maguire is now considering proposing to his girlfriend of two years, Jennifer Meyer.

The idea came to Tobey straight from Leo himself, an insider told British gossip website Female First. The source said, "Leo is still down about losing Gisele, and he told Tobey that if he really loves Jen, he should step up to the table and not twiddle his thumbs about marriage.� After listening to DiCaprio, Maguire realized that the time is right to ask for Meyer’s hand in marriage.

The source added, “[Tobey] told me he absolutely wants to marry Jennifer in the coming year. He doesn't want to lose her! I think she'd marry Tobey in a second!"

Though Jennifer is not an actress, Tobey needn’t worry that she is after him for his fame and fortune. She has plenty of the latter herself. Meyer is the daughter of Universal Studios president Ron Meyer. These two certainly won’t have to scrimp on their wedding plans.
