Johnny Knoxville is looking forward to regaining his "manly functions".
The prankster, who nearly lost his testicles when a stunt for MTV show 'Jackass' went wrong, is hoping to soon return to his normal life after having an operation to mend his torn urethra.
He said: "I just walked out of surgery about 10 minutes ago. I'm still a little groggy from the anaesthesia.
Self-proclaimed “Jackass Johnny Knoxville has done some pretty stupid things in his life, but don’t ever call him retarded.
Pretending to be a Special Olympics competitor in the Farrelly Bros flick, The Ringer, (opens this Friday) Knoxville tells the January issue of Maxim magazine that he’s found a new respect for the mentally challenged: “I don’t want to sound like some politically correct old fart, but we cast real mentally challenged actors in the film, and they really hate the word retarded, Knoxville explains to Maxim. “They have an affliction, but they’re very sharp….Aside from Steve-O, I’d never really been around mentally challenged people before, so I was intimidated.

Jessica Simpson has reportedly turned to Johnny Knoxville for support since
her split from husband Nick Lachey.
The beautiful blonde has been comforted by her gorgeous 'Dukes of Hazzard'
co-star since her public split from singer Nick.
A source said: "There has been no shortage of shoulders for Jess to cry on.
Lots of friends - both male and female - have rallied round. But Johnny has
been one of the most supportive."
But despite his compassion for the singer turned actress, sources insist the
'Jackass' star and Jessica are just good friends.
A source is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "There's nothing going
between them. Johnny is a happily married man who just feels very protective
of Jess and what she is having to go through at the moment."
Jessica married Nick in 2002 and the pair went on to star in their own
reality TV show 'Newlyweds' - which followed the trials and tribulations of
the couple.
The pair had been at the centre of endless break-up rumours over the last
six months and finally announced they were splitting last week.
They said in a statement: "After three years of marriage, and careful
thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways.
"This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of
respect and admiration for each other. We hope that you respect our privacy
during this difficult time."
