Tom Cruise is reportedly desperate for a new life" and according to Star magazine he may "move on" from his religion to do it.

After Katie Holmes filed to divorce him last June, Cruise "has lost his swagger -- and enough weight to seem like a shell of his former action-hero self."

"Tom hasn't admitted that he's definitely leaving Scientology for good," says one of Star's insiders. "But he's distanced himself from those in the church and has been hanging out with good friends who aren't part of the religion."

Gossipcop reports there is no truth to this claim.
