NATALIE PORTMAN AND FAMILY HONEYMOON IN TURKS AND CAICOS
Life & Style reveals that a month after their intimate wedding, Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied jetted to the romantic island of Turks and Caicos for their honeymoon on Sept. 1.
But unlike most newlyweds, the couple brought a guest on their romantic trip -- their adorable 15-month-old son, Aleph.
"They came out to the beach as a family," reveals a fellow vacationer.
Natalie, 31, and Ben, 35, did manage to steal some alone time, when they left their little one with a nanny. "Ben grabbed Natalie and brought her out sailing," says the witness. "They enjoyed a very romantic moment as they headed toward the horizon together. They just kept kissing and looked really in love."
Though the family headed back to LA just five days later, the trip was a great way to recharge, notes the friend: "This break was very precious to them, even though it was very brief. It's typical of them -- even their honeymoon was a whirlwind!"
After meeting in 2009 on the set of Black Swan (for which Natalie won best actress at the 2011 Academy Awards), the pair announced their engagement in December 2010 and also said they'd be expecting their first child in June 2011. A little more than a year after welcoming Aleph, Natalie and Benjamin tied the knot in Big Sur, Calif., in August.
