Justin Timberlake wants a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination

Justin Timberlake wants a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination Justin Timberlake has started a campaign to land himself a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his role in "The Social Network," reports NY Post. A source close to Timberlake, 29,said, "He's hell-bent on getting a nomination this year even though he has tough competition from his co-star Andrew Garfield. "Sony is footing the bill for advertising the awards campaign, but Justin is also doing things his own way, including attending Academy screenings on his own and privately reaching out to award winners and Academy darlings Tom Hanks and Kevin Spacey for campaigning advice." Timberlake's reps declined to comment, but another source confirmed, "He's doing everything to support 'Social Network.' "

People are losing sight of how good Justin Timberlake's performance Sean Parker is in David Fincher's The Social Network because of his A-list persona, but people should realize that despite his huge music career, the actor is wonderfully talented and was perfectly cast in a role that was perfectly played. Few actors can portray that kind of fragile bravura, that magnetic charisma tempered with vulnerability and humor not to mention playing a man dealing with addictions, insecurities, cowardice, and paranoia while trying to control a part of the world and seducing others to follow in his footsteps. He's got Grammy and Emmy. Now I think it's time for Oscar.
I found this group that's trying to garner support for Justin
Timberlake as an Oscar caliber actor as well as an all-around entertainer.
