Tiger Woods’ Perfect World Comes Crashing DowN



Tiger Woods seemed to be living a fairy-tale life. As the greatest golfer in the history of the game, Tiger has made nearly $1 billion in winnings and endorsements. In 2004, he married Swedish model Elin Nordegren and fathered two beautiful children — Sam, 2, and Charlie, 10 months. Unflappable on the links — and fiercely guarded about his personal life — Tiger appeared immune to the pitfalls of fame and fortune. “We’re kind of boring,” Tiger once said.



But on November 27, Tiger’s peaceful world came crashing down, ironically, with the swing of a golf club. After leaving his $2.4 million Isleworth, Fla., home at 2:25 a.m., reportedly wearing a T-shirt and no shoes, Tiger jumped into his black Escalade and quickly crashed into a fire hydrant, then a neighbor’s tree. “I sustained some injuries,” Tiger wrote on his web site. “I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore.” However, tmz.com claims that Tiger fled the house after a screaming match with Elin over tabloid reports that he was having an affair with nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel, 34. The tabloid report isn’t the only thing that could have made Elin livid. A Las Vegas insider tells In Touch that Tiger’s been straying during solo trips to Vegas, too. According to the insider, Tiger has hooked up with Bank nightclub manager Kalika Moquin. “They met up on October 27 in his room at the MGM Grand. They’ve been friends for three years,” says the insider, who adds Tiger is also a frequent patron of the Spearmint Rhino strip club, where he’s surrounded by “strippers, cocktail waitresses and pretty girls.”



Indeed, up until this incident, Tiger and Elin’s relationship seemed solid. But Tiger is a world-class athlete who travels the world, sometimes alone. The golf circuit, like other professional sports, has its groupies, too, and the temptation to stray must be omnipresent. The tabloid reported that Tiger and Rachel met at the Australian Open in November, hooked up in New York, Las Vegas and LA and sent each other steamy text messages. “The texts were sexual,” a source who’s close to Rachel tells In Touch. A former co-worker isn’t surprised that Rachel is caught up in a scandal with Tiger. “She had no problem getting way too close to married men,” the co-worker tells In Touch. “She is always holding hands and laughing and flirting with wealthy guests who are often married.”
