HOW MISCHA GOT HER LIFE BACK
On Sept. 8, a Dior-clad Mischa Barton returned to the fashion scene, attending the GQ & Dior Homme event at NYC’s Cooper Square Hotel. “She looked great and stayed for the whole dinner,” a partygoer tells Life & Style. That’s a huge step forward for Mischa, who was hospitalized under an involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering a meltdown in July.
Instead of adding stress, being back in NYC to shoot her CW show The Beautiful Life has helped her. “Some of my best friends live in the city, and just the routine of everything that I do — going to work every day here, working on a television series, walking my dogs — is keeping me grounded,” Mischa told Life & Style at the CW premiere party for The Beautiful Life at SL in NYC’s Meatpacking District.
And that’s something Mischa has desperately needed. “There’s a great line [in the show about my character],” says Mischa. “Someone says, ‘She’s at her best when she’s working.’ That’s how I feel about myself right now.”
