It's so hard to really know what happened. Janet Jackson is one of the most successfully private people in the business. She was even married for years without anyone knowing - and the only reason we even found out was because she divorced him.

So what happened with Jermaine? He seemed like a good little troll, even if he couldn't hold his liquor and puked in her lap the one night they went out and painted the town. But they also made the mistake of working together ... and when her latest album went nowhere it was widely seen as being his fault. That couldn't have helped things.

Maybe it was the kids - the ones she wants to have, not the ones her brother already had. Janet was reportedly anxious to start her own family, something Jermaine was less than eager for. Now that she may have a chance to play a role in the upbringing of Michael's children maybe Jermaine was more trouble than he was worth. Especially since he's currently out of work. Whatever the reason, it's too bad things didn't work out. She really seemed happy with him.
