British businessman Richard Branson has revealed Virgin Books, in which he
owns a 10 per cent stake, has agreed to publish the 35-year-old supermodel's
first book.
Branson – also runs Virgin Atlantic airlines among numerous other ventures -
refused to confirm the tome's release date, but said it would be a
no-holds-barred account of Moss’ life and would contain anecdotes about her
celebrity friends.
He said: "It's going to make an exciting read."
The catwalk star will reportedly receive more than £1 million to pen the
book, which Branson is convinced will become an instant best seller.
The tome is expected to reveal intimate details about Moss’ drug abuse, her
break-up from Babyshambles rocker Pete Doherty and tackle the recent
allegations that she cheated on current boyfriend Jamie Hince with Eve
Berlin from American band Living Things last year.
Branson, 58, has known Moss since she was 15, when she was first signed to
his Storm modelling agency.
They have been close friends ever since, and he was the first person to
offer Moss a job after she was photographed allegedly snorting cocaine at a
party in 2006.
