ZAC EFRON TALKS ABOUT TALKS ABOUT REALIZING CROCS ARE NOT COOL
“17 Again” stars Zac Efron and Michelle Trachtenberg talk about crocs, playing a father, and hate from Efron’s fans with Ben on DAILY 10
Lyons comments on Efron’s character wearing Ed Hardy to school, and asks him what LA clothing trends make him laugh. Efron says: “Oh man, I don’t know. There’s some pretty ridiculous things. I remember Crocs were cool for a minute. I even got a pair. I was like ‘Oh man these are cool!’ Then I realized they are not.”
Efron continues, saying his mother doesn’t believe he should wear winter hats when it’s warm outside: “Yeah, my mom is like ‘get that sock off your head. What are you doing?’ I don’t know, I kind of like it. It’s not a baseball hat, it’s comfy, it keeps my hair out of my eyes.”
Regarding playing Michelle Trachtenberg’s father in the film, Efron says: “That was the scene I was most worried about to be honest. In the whole movie, I didn’t know how I was going to console my daughter. You know, I had to put on the daddy pants.”
Regarding being hated by Zac’s legion of female fans, Trachtenberg says: “Good. But it’s a good hate.”
Trachtenberg continues: “I love being evil. And then no, it’s true, I get, like, you know, ‘Oh my God, Michelle, who’s hotter, Chace Crawford or Zac Efron?’ And I always say, ‘Sal Masekela.’”
