Brooke Shields bans her daughters from taking up acting
Brooke Shields has banned her daughters from taking up acting.
The former 'Lipstick Jungle' star – who starred in her first advertisement
when she was just 11-months-old and shot to fame as a model aged 14 – won't
let Rowan, five, or Grier, three, pursue a career in the spotlight until
they have a university degree.
The 43-year-old actress said: “Times are different. I wouldn’t let my
children join the industry until they’ve graduated from college. They need a
degree, and then at that point I’ll help them do whatever they want.”
Despite her strict rules, Brooke says her children are already natural
entertainers who love to be in the limelight.
She said added to Time Out Kids magazine: “Like all little girls, there is a
theatrical element to them. They love singing and dancing and all of that,
but I don’t think they have that hankering to be in the business. They know
I work so hard, and they wouldn’t have the patience!”
