A source tells Hello! magazine, "First of all, he's extremely funny.

"She had tough year last year with the tour and the divorce. She didn't laugh much, that's for sure.

"But with Jesus, she's been able to relax and have fun. They dance. They listen to music. They watch movies. He's very witty, even if his frame of reference for pop culture is a bit narrow.

"For instance, last week she was annoyed about something written about their age difference. She said, 'It's not like I'm Joan Collins!' And, honest to God, Jesus said, 'Um.... who's Joan Collins?'

"But he's laid back and totally unaffected by all the attention, and his breezy perspective has had quite a calming effect on Madonna."
