Britney Spears’ restraining order against her ex-manager has been extended.
The 27-year-old singer’s father Jamie – who is co-conservator of her
personal and professional life – alleges Sam Lutfi has been attempting to
contact Britney, leaving her petrified.
The ‘Womanizer’ singer’s hairstylist Roberta Romero took to the stand in the
Los Angeles court and alleged Lutfi bombarded her with
text messages about Britney over a three-week period late last year.
In one he claimed he was “trying to help” the star, and also asked Roberta
to pass on messages to Britney.
When Britney found out about the messages she asked Roberta to text Lutfi
back asking him to stop trying to reach her.
That did not work, so the pair went to Britney’s head of security Itamar
Gelbman who also testified in court.
Revealing Britney asked him to increase security patrols around her house,
Gelban added: “She wanted me to do more, to make sure everything was locked.
She couldn't fall asleep because of Sam's texts. She told me to make him
stop. She was scared.”
The court agreed to extend the temporary restraining order until March 18.
After that it can be extended one more time before the trial date of April
1.
