Nas has confirmed his wife Kelis is pregnant.
The 'I Can' rapper revealed the couple are thrilled to be expecting their
first child together and will find out the baby's sex in a few days.
Nas - who has a 15-year-old daughter, Destiny, from a previous relationship
- told MTV: "Yeah, man, I find out what it's going to be this week, so I'm
happy. I got another one coming in 09, yeah! That's what's up!"
Rumours Kelis, 29, was pregnant first surfaced last month.
A source said: "It's all they are talking about. She is carrying hip-hop
royalty! They are so excited."
Kelis and 35-year-old Nas tied the knot in 2005 after two years together.
The 'Milkshake' singer has previously spoken about her desire to start a
family - but was worried about the effect pregnancy would have on her
figure.
She said: I want a whole bunch of kids. But I want to enjoy my size eight
body while I can. I'm actually a little scared about the idea of getting
big, so I do lots of Tae Bo!"
