You know the one I'm talking about. The one allegedly taken by LAPD of a brutalized Rihanna the night Chris Brown beat her up. The picture that shouldn't have been released because she was a victim of domestic violence. The one TMZ had no problem paying big bucks for.
Like she hasn't been through enough. Rihanna's a young girl, just turning 21. She is an international superstar - and unlike other big stars of today, can actually sing. Live. On key and without forgetting any of the words.
LAPD doesn't seem to be handling this case right. The DA sent the case back down to them for further investigation. And then the picture was leaked to TMZ. The fact that police evidence was stolen and sold to the highest bidder compromises the entire case; the fact that Harvey Levin is trying to say it was taken on the street and was not obtained through nefarious ways is somewhat less than believable. It wouldn't be the first time they've paid for a scoop and paid well. LAPD is said to be investigating thoroughly, but the damage may already have been done.
If Chris Brown walks because of all this, who's to blame? LAPD? TMZ? All of the above? Several tabloids are claiming that Rihanna wants to take him back, that she still loves him after all this. I hope to God they're wrong and that she stays strong and puts this all behind her. I am not posting that picture. If you want to see it, go to TMZ. They apparently have no scruples about publishing pictures of crime victims.
