Let's face it. You've got to be in shape to wear some of today's fashions, with sheer lace, cut-outs and naughty bits strategically covered. Some stars work very hard to maintain their shape and look great in these sexy little things. Others hurt our eyes and give us nightmares.

This is very difficult for me, to give praise to that pasty little fishstick, Gwyneth Paltrow. She does, however, look phenomenal in this little black dress. It's just the right side of risque without being overt or vulgar.

The same, unfortunately, cannot be said for Courtney Love and her lingerie on the outside abomination. It's tacky, yes, but even at her tackiest back in the day, Courtney had some semblance of style. Maybe she needs to be high to get funky. On a lighter note, it does look as though she's put some weight back on, so I guess that gastric band damage wasn't permanent.

The moral of the story? Blond in black lace is not always sexy. And ribbons around your ankles always makes them look fat.
