Brad Pitt "chaotic and messy" household

Brad Pitt revealed his household on the morning of Sunday's Golden Globe Awards was chaotic and mess.

"Same as every morning: chaotic and messy!" Brad Pitt said on the red carpet.

Both he and Jolie were up for awards, US reports.

"We haven't even talked about it yet - we haven't," he said when asked about their nods.

When Steven Spielberg was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award, they stood together, whispering in each other's ears.

Jolie -- in Atelier Versace -- also rubbed Pitt's back, a witness said, and he kept his arm around her as he sipped a Heineken beer.

At the end of Spielberg's movie montage, Jolie looked at Pitt and said, "That was great!"
