BARACK OBAMA: I DON’T WANT TO MISS OUT ON BEING A DAD On Jan. 20, Barack Obama will become the 44th president of the United States — and the most powerful man in the free world. Despite the prestigious job title, however, Obama has made it clear that the role he cherishes most is being a dad to daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, the lights of his life, along with his wife, Michelle, of course, Life & Style reports .
But with a nonstop schedule that will become even more time-consuming once he takes office, Obama has expressed concern about missing out on many of the precious daily moments in his children’s lives. “As a father, I wish I was a little less busy,” he once admitted in an interview. “It’s the most fun I have — just sitting there, watching my girls play or talking to them or listening to their stories.”
Not being there for Sasha and Malia “has been and remains his biggest fear,” an insider close to the Obamas confirms to Life & Style. “He was raised without a father and understands firsthand about the emotional scars that form from not having a dad around. He’s a fun, athletic, involved parent, and he wants to make sure things stay that way.” Image wenn.com |
