Rihanna says that cutting off her long hair for the Umbrella was just what she needed to reinvent herself

"So I got rebellious. I got tired of doing what people wanted me to do," says Rihanna, who reckons that the razor bob haircut "changed everything".

"My hair definitely inspired different things like how I dress, the swagger. I became more confident and comfortable with myself."

"I don't go into it trying to make trends for people," she says. "I just like doing things differently… It's really cool when I see people in the audience with the same hair as I have."
