“I had my first real date when I was 16. I wore black legging-like pants, a crocheted vest with a white T-shirt underneath, and horrible wedge shoes. The guys and I ended up standing on a rooftop sucking face. I missed my curfew, but my mom took a look at my swollen lips and just laughed.”
