Kirsten Dunst awarded a restraining order against Christopher Smith

Kirsten Dunst has been awarded a restraining order against a man who repeatedly tried to break into her home.
When Kirsten applied for the order, she revealed she was terrified of
Christopher Smith, who was arrested for trespassing on the ‘Spider-Man’
star’s property and trying to enter her home.
She said: “Given this sudden, aggressive, and harassing behaviour, I am
quite frightened of Mr. Smith and feel that my personal safety, and the
personal safety of those around me, is in jeopardy.”
Los Angeles Superior Court heard last week that on the night of his arrest,
Smith had tried to enter the actress’ property for the fifth time, only to
be stopped by 26-year-old Kirsten’s personal assistant, Elizabeth Donohue,
who performed a citizen’s arrest before detectives took him into custody.
According to court papers, Smith told officers in his statement: “I was
arrested for stalking. I know that was bad, I hope I can get off with a
warning.
“I’m in love with Kirsten, so I went to her house. I connected with Kirsten
spiritually.
“I felt like I connected with her and she connected with me. Now I don’t
know if she did. I guess you have to ask her if she connected.”
Kirsten’s statement said she had no desire to ever be contacted by
25-year-old Smith, who was allegedly put on 72-hour psychiatric evaluation
following the arrest.
In making the request for the restraining order Kirsten’s attorney, David
Harris, asked the court not to notify Smith of the restraining order request
before it was approved.
He argued: “Based on the sudden, aggressive, and threatening behaviour of
the respondent, Christopher Smith, the petitioner and I fear that it would
be dangerous to give notice that the petitioner is seeking protection prior
to such protection being in place.”
