More than 20 million viewers tuned in to watch Ryan Sutter pop the question to Trista Rehn on the Feb. 19, 2003, episode of The Bachelorette. But the second proposal was a much more intimate affair. “I lost the engagement ring I got on the show, so Ryan got me this new ring,” Trista says, showing off the sparkler to Life & Style. “I love it. The old ring was gorgeous — and I do miss it — but I also feel like this new ring signifies our new life and renewed love, something different from what we started on a reality show. We’ll never forget that, but it’s nice to know we’ve made it to a new level.”
