Prince Harry was made an honorary Gurkha by the Nepalese troops he fought with in Afghanistan.

Harry, 24, was presented with a kukri - a Gurkha combat knife-for his "support and friendship" when the soldiers served under him earlier this year.

Captain Surya Gurung, from the 1st Battalion Royal Gurkha Rifles, said: "We don't normally give it to people. Those we give it to, it's because they earned it."
