Grace Jones wants to record a song with Amy Winehouse
The singer believes she and Amy are kindred spirits who would work well
together.
Grace, says: “I love
Amy Winehouse, she has a wonderful voice. I love what she’s doing, even
though she gets slapped down a lot. I’d absolutely love to do a song with
her. We’ve both kind of been there, if you know what I mean, there’s a lot
of pressure, a lot of eyes on you and there are all kinds of things to deal
with. You get everything thrown at you when you’re in the public eye.”
Grace, 60, believes Amy will overcome her drink and drug demons and start
making great music again.
She added: “I hope she gets stronger from here. I support her, I’d like her
to know that. That’s what it’s all about – sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll! If
it don’t kill you, everyone used to tell me this, it’ll make you stronger.”
