Celebrities including Nicky Hilton, Ryan Sheckler, Carey Hart and Macy Gray checked out W San Diego’s fresh new face (a Surf.Sand.Chic. redesign) thanks to Queer Eye / Style Network design guru, Thom Filicia.

Summer never ends at W San Diego where its recently redesigned surf-inspired property played host to a weekend of exclusive VIP events including the 9/4 property-wide relaunch blowout hosted by Filicia and Hilton, featuring a private acoustic set by Virgin recording artist Justin Nosuka. Plus, appearances by elite action sports pro athletes that embody So Cal lifestyle such as MTV’s Ryan Sheckler, Carey Hart, pro-skateboarders Eric Koston and Paul Rodriguez (son of comedian Paul Rodriguez), Fuel TV’s/MTV’s Mike Vallely, surf champion Tom Curren and many more.

Nicky Hilton was involved in a small fender bender on her drive down to San Diego, but she arrived safely, looking beautiful.

On Friday night, Macy Gray stopped by to celebrate her birthday in a private cabana at W’s famed rooftop bar, Beach.

Also recently spotted checking out the W’s redesign was Katy Perry (“I Kissed A Girl”) who was on property for a photo shoot.
