Fans want the 22-year-old Transformers star to play Catwoman .

But producers are said to favor Cher for the role previously played by Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry.

'Cher is [director] Christopher Nolan's first choice to play Catwoman,' an insider tells the Daily Mirror. 'He wants her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.'
