Amy Winehouse's mother-in-law Georgette Civil spoke out after the star canceled an appearance at Paris's Rock En Seine music festival.

She has since been threatened with legal action by organizers.

"Amy has serious health and drug dependency problems but she is pushed into work," Civil told the Daily Star. "Her health is more important than prancing around on stage.

"I blame her father and her record company. People around her have a duty to help her before she ends up dead."
