How Patrick Swayze is Staying Healthy
“I’m feeling good and doing everything that I need to do to stay healthy!” Patrick, who’s in Chicago working on the new A&E drama The Beast, tells In Touch. “I don’t have to return to California until next month for my next round of treatments,” he adds. “Right now, I’m taking the medication as I am scheduled to take it.” The actor is expected to continue shooting on location until November, but when he’s not on set, he says that he and his wife, Lisa, are taking it easy. “We have been walking our dogs and enjoying some of the restaurants. Also, we stay in the hotel so I can rest for filming.” The popular actor even celebrated his 56th birthday with his crew on August 18. “When Patrick appeared, everyone was wearing black shirts decorated with a picture of his face and the words “Crazy for Swayze” on the front and ‘The Beast’ on the back,” a set insider tells In Touch. “They sang ‘Happy Birthday’ and had a yellow birthday cake for him. He was surprised and touched.” On July 28, he stayed hydrated on the set while his wife, Lisa, looked on. Patrick looked “happy, healthy and couldn’t stop smiling” on set, says an onlooker.
