Amy Winehouse will battle Duffy and Kate Nash at this year’s Vodafone Live Music Awards, in a bid to retain her Best Female title. Amy Winehouse will battle Duffy and Kate Nash at this year’s Vodafone Live Music Awards The three singers - along with ‘American Boy’ star Estelle - are all nominated for the honor at this year’s ceremony. Amy is the only winning artist to be nominated in the same category for a consecutive year. Last year’s Best Tour winners, Muse, are up for Best Live Act, and will go up against Kaiser Chiefs, Primal Scream and The Verve. The Verve, fronted by Richard Ashcroft, are also up for Best Live Return – making them the only act to achieve two nominations. Elsewhere, Mark Ronson, Dizzee Rascal and rock veteran Paul Weller will compete for the Best Male award at the ceremony, which will take place on September 18 at London’s Carling Academy, Brixton. The shortlist was decided by a panel of music experts, with fans choosing the overall winners in each category via internet and text message voting.
