Michael Caine believes Heath Ledger gave an Oscar worthy performance as the Joker.

"I just watched him and talked to him for three days and I thought he was extraordinary," the actor told Us.

"I think he'll get a posthumous Oscar nomination at least," Caine, 75, told Us.

"I didn't have a scene with him," said Caine, who plays Alfred Pennyworth. "He was in a scene in the picture which I was in but he never spoke to me in the scene – it was a big party."
