An insider alleges that Aniston, 39, told Mayer, 30 that she was ready to marry him, but the singer turned her down, Transworld reports.

“During a recent romantic stroll on the beach in Malibu, the words ‘I want to marry you’ just tumbled out of Jen’s mouth,” says a source. “Unfortunately for Jen, John doesn’t share her desire to get married too quickly.”
