‘Cristiano wants to keep playing at Manchester United,’ his big sister Elma Aveiro says. ‘Real Madrid keep making very strong advances for him.

'There is a lot of speculation in the newspapers all the time about where he will go and what he is doing.

‘But we know who he really is and what he is really up to. He wants to stay at United.’

‘As long as he is happy where he plays, we don’t mind where he is,’ she tells The Sun.

‘We are a very close, simple family and we are very happy we have a brother like him.

'He tells me he likes Manchester United and everyone here wants him to stay there.’
