Angelina Jolie suggested the family leave France and go home to America to have the babies after a fall out with the French Hospital

However, her medical advisers (she is traveling with a team of doctors, midwives and a full-time 'pregnancy coach') persuaded her it would not be safe for her to fly so late in her pregnancy, Daily Mail reports

Her decision to have the children in France had been part of her plan to honor her French-descended mother Marcheline Bertrand who died of cancer aged 56 in January last year.

The actress has said that the twins - strongly rumored to be girls - will be the actual 'living embodiment' of their maternal grandmother.

If they are girls one baby will be given the middle name Marcheline and the other will be called Jane after Pitt's mother.
