NY Yankee player Alex Rodriguez now accused his wife Cynthia Rodriguez of going on a £50k spend revenge during a 'wild' escape to Paris.

According to reports friends of the sports star have complained Mrs Rodriguez hit her husband's wallet before filing for divorce.

'She's spent close to $100,000 on her jaunt to Paris', his friend told the POST.

The insider says the angry wife, 'had spa treatments, she went to the best restaurants…'

The friend says she was originally going to go to Spain, where singer Lenny Kravitz is playing – a man she has been linked to.

Instead the 34-year-old paid for her daughter's godparents and their child to join her.

An insider for the Mr Rodriguez also accuses the wife of banning him from seeing his daughters during the spilt.

'Alex desperately wanted to see his children while she was in Paris…She block him. She said, “You cannot see them”'.
