Stars’ Shocking Sex Scandals
1. Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee & Bret Michaels
Pamela rocked and rolled with Tommy and Bret
When steamy home movies of Pamela Anderson and ex-husband Tommy Lee were stolen in 1995, a tape of the spliced flicks hit the adult video shelves and became a huge hit. “I was completely hormonal and freaking out,” says Pam of the whole incident. “I won’t even make videotapes of my children now because I’m so worried that someone would steal them and try to sell them.” Despite another sex tape of her with Poison’s Bret Michaels surfacing in 1998, the Baywatch babe stays positive. “You just have to move on and make the best of the rest of your life,” she says.
2. Mark Consuelos
Mark strutted his stuff
“I’m a horrible dancer!” says Mark Consuelos, who is best-known as Kelly Ripa’s husband and a dedicated family man. “I bob my head up and down. That’s the only part of me that has rhythm.” But that’s not the body part patrons of Tampa, Fla., club Stingers came to see in the early ’90s, when the actor was a stripper who earned the nickname “Meaty Mark.” Later, Mark drew on his stripping experience to produce the 2003 documentary American Dancer. And Kelly doesn’t mind that women once drooled over her scantily clad man, whom she later met on All My Children. “I don’t think I have a jealous bone in my body,” she insists.
3. Audrina Patridge
Audrina was burned by a pal
“I was betrayed,” claims Audrina Patridge of the nude photos of her that were released without her consent earlier this year. “The photographer was actually my so-called friend.” The Hills star had posed for the naughty shots shortly after she graduated high school and was pursuing a career in modeling. “I thought that to be a model, you had to be comfortable in front of the camera. I was naive, overly trusting of people and inexperienced,” says Audrina. “I’m not ashamed of these photos, but I don’t want my young fans to think they have to do what I did.”
4. Oscar De La Hoya
Did Oscar really play dress up?
Ex-stripper Milana Dravnel released photos last year allegedly of Oscar De La Hoya looking like a knockout in fishnet stockings, panties and a wig. Those in the boxer’s camp claim the pics are fake, while Milana insists they’re real. “He wasn’t upset,” says Mario Lopez of his close friend’s reaction. “He was sort of laughing. He’s not really sweating it.” While Oscar says the incident has tested his marriage, he insists that his wife, Millie Corretjer, remains in his corner. “She knows the truth, and the truth will come out,” he says.
5. Hugh Grant
Hugh wasn’t thinking
After Hugh Grant was arrested in 1995 for paying hooker Divine Brown $60 for oral sex, he didn’t skip any of his planned talk show appearances. “In the end, you have to come clean and say, ‘I did something dishonorable, shabby and goatish,’” says the actor. His refreshingly candid conversation about the incident with Jay Leno gave The Tonight Show a huge ratings boost and even inspired Hugh’s future Music and Lyrics co-star Drew Barrymore to send a supportive letter. “He was so charming with the gracious, humorous way he handled the whole thing,” she says.
6. Amy Adams
Hooters paid Amy’s bills
She’s probably the only Disney princess to ever wear orange short-shorts, but Enchanted’s Amy Adams isn’t ashamed. “When you’re on the way up, you do what you can to pay the bills,” says the actress, who admits she was a bit naive for taking a job at Hooters in the early ’90s. “I had been a dancer, so I was used to running around in tights and a leotard. I just thought, ‘It’s not a big deal.’ But there is a difference, and I learned it. I wasn’t cut out to be a waitress, and I certainly wasn’t cut out to be a Hooters waitress.”
7. Colin Farrell
Colin sued to protect his career
Colin Farrell has no problem taking it all off on the big screen. “I couldn’t care less who sees my bits,” he says. But the Irish hunk did mind when his steamy 15-minute 2003 home movie went public. He took his video co-star, Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain, to court in 2005 for attempting to distribute the tape, and he later threatened legal action against a web site that had tried to post it online. “A word to the wise,” warned Paul Berra, one of Colin’s lawyers. “Stay away from this video.”
8. Vanessa Williams
Vanessa had to hang up her crown
“It was an experience that was painful and forced me to grow,” says Vanessa Williams of being made to give up the title of Miss America when nude photos of her surfaced in 1984. Out of respect, Playboy passed on the provocative shots of a younger Vanessa posing with another woman, but Penthouse grabbed them — resulting in a 14 million windfall for the magazine. “It didn’t take away my talent, didn’t take away my future, didn’t take away my life,” notes the singer and star of Ugly Betty. “Success is the best revenge.”
9. Pete Wentz
Pete’s privates were made public
In 2006, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz learned the hard way to keep an eye on his cell phone. Shortly after he lost his phone in Texas, nude pictures of Pete started to pop up all over the Internet. “It’s probably the most embarrassing thing that’s happened in my life,” says the rocker. Still, there was at least one positive outcome from all of the publicity. “How many people now know about my band that wouldn’t have known about us before?” he asks.
10. Kim Kardashian & Ray J
Kim and Ray J had nothing better to do
“We were kind of bored. I said, ‘Yo, babe, let’s have some fun,’” explains rapper Ray J of the thought that went into his and then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian’s 2004 sex tape. In 2007, Vivid Entertainment bought the mysteriously leaked video for $1 million and distributed it under the title, Kim Kardashian, Superstar. “It’s pretty humiliating,” admits Kim, who sued the company and settled for $5 million. “That was my boyfriend of three years,” she says. “I was in love with him, and the scandal, to me, would be if I was cheating on him.”
