The ‘Smile’ singer, who was carried out of the Glamour Women of the Year
Awards , has been offered a lifeline as Elton’s partner
David Furnish told her she could stay with the couple for a few weeks.
Lily and David met at a Royal Academy of Arts VIP private view when he insisted she spend some time with him and the
‘Rocket Man’ singer – who has previously battled alcohol and drugs addiction
- at their £6million Berkshire mansion in Southeast England.
David believes Lily would benefit toning down her partying lifestyle and
staying out of the public eye for a while.
Lily was determined to prove she could behave herself and decided to drive
to the Royal Academy of Arts party.
She was reportedly overheard telling presenter Janet Street Porter: “I don't
remember a thing. I can normally get really drunk, but not like that.
"The worrying thing was that I was like a dead weight. I have been out so
many times and got drunk and never ended up like that.
"I didn't have my house keys or my bag, so I felt totally vulnerable. When I
finally got home I just passed out."
